Intro

When a new companion animal comes in to the family, we do not stop to realize that the average life span for our beloved companion will only be about 10-14 years. A relatively short time compared to us humans. We concern ourselves with giving them proper obedience training, marking sure they receive the best healthcare, and we spend loads of time loving them. Although no one likes to think about the loss of a dear friend, death is an inevitable part of life. Choices that seem difficult now, will seem impossible at the time of loss. When faced with the death of our companions, most folks are not prepared to make the difficult decisions related to their final rest.

CACS is dedicated to the sensitive care of your companion animal. We have established "the first of its kind" cremation facility in central PA providing exclusively for companion animals.

For those of you who consider your pet to be part of your family, we are here to help you through a difficult time. We are Companion Animal Cremation Service. We are dedicated to "honoring the life of your pet with unparalleled respect and dignity." That has special meaning to our clients and us. Traditionally, pet cremation services have been arranged by the veterinarian.

But today, our attitudes as guardians of companion animals, we demand a much higher standard than segregated/mass cremation/disposal services used by the veterinarians. With its lack of dignity, integrity and proper regulations in the industry, our clients prefer a professional local, direct service provider to assure the dignified handling of their companion animal's body and cremated remains.

Please take some time to learn about our services and why we are the only responsible choices to handle the final disposition of your devoted companion animal.

We will assure you that CACS will meet and surpass your expectations of a final tribute and disposition for your companion animal.

About the company

Companion Animal Cremation Service is dedicated to honoring the human-animal bond manifesting itself as unconditional love and loyalty between humans and their companion animals.

Private pet cremation is the core of the Companion Animal Cremation Service business. Our service is offered directly to owners of companion animals. Our primary service area is within a 25-mile radius of Harrisburg but we will also service other areas when requested by the companion animal owner.

CACS offers a 24 hour per day, 7 day a week pick up service of your deceased companion animal.   Your companion animal is picked up individually within 4 hours of notification of the service requested.  Your companion animal can be picked up at your home or your veterinarian’s office.  The body is placed into a "Journey’s End" shroud, placed on the stretcher, and transported to CACS for private cremation.

CACS invites companion animal owners to attend the private cremation and receive the cremated remains shortly after the cremation is completed.  Average completion time for cremation is 1 1/2 - 2 hours.  The cremated remains are placed in a complimentary cedar urn or display urn depending on the family’s wishes.

If you do not wish to or are unable to attend the cremation, the same level of care and procedure is assured.  Your companion animal’s cremated remains will be returned to your home by a CACS staff member within 24 hours or alternatively, you may wish to pick up your pet’s cremated remains at one of our offices.

From the very beginning, CACS has recognized the importance of delivering the highest standard of service in what is a difficult and often delicate time.  That commitment is reflected in all stages of the business from the company’s facilities, the way the companion animals are handled and  transported, and the expediency of the completion of the cremation, all will be handled with the utmost professionalism, and be attested to by the attitude of the staff.

Some people may be cynical about the lengths to which owners will go to ensure a dignified end for their companion animal.  But, CACS recognizes the strength of the bond between owners and their companion animals, and the traumatic effect that the severing of this bond can have.  Therefore, CACS will be available for you if you have an immediate need.  A simple phone call is all that is required for a member of our staff to assist you in Arranging an immediate cremation or Preplanning
